professor (Dragan Savic) FREng , KWR Watercycle Research Institute, the Netherlands and the University of Exeter
Prof. Savic is the Chief Executive Officer of the KWR Water Cycle Research Institute in the Netherlands and the Professor of Hydroinformatics in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter in the UK.
After successfully establishing and leading the Centre for Water Systems at Exeter for 25 years, during which the team has grown to about 80 researchers, Prof. Savic was appointed the CEO of KWR in July of 2018. KWR is an independent research institute involved in implementation and coordination of the joint research programme of the Dutch and Felemish water sector. Prof. Savic is internationally recognised as a research leader in development and application of Artificial Intelligence and Smart Water concepts to urban water systems. He has lectured extensively abroad and given research presentations at institutions on all continents.
Prof. Savic is elected Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng) and a member of the European Academy of Sciences (EURASC).
